July 11-13 Bob and Lisa headed up to Sisters, Oregon to attend the 50 year anniversary of the world's largest outdoor quilt show.
Sisters Oregon is a beautiful place and named for it's location in the foothills of the Three Sisters volcanic peaks that can be seen in the background of this picture.
Lisa loves quilting and has wanted to attend this famous show for some time. This year she got her chance and it was great!
We enjoyed walking around the quaint town with 10,000 other attendees to check out the 1200+ quilts hanging from almost every available wall, eve, and porch in town.
So many beautiful and creative pieces to enjoy!

The Stitchin' Post quilt store in Sisters was where the annual quilt show began 50 years ago. Lisa has ordered material from them online for a number of years and has always wanted to visit in person. She wasn't disappointed, it was great!

While visiting we also stopped to check out Newberry National Volcanic Monument just south of Bend, Oregon and walk some of the trails around the Visitor Center. In the distance, about 30 miles away, you can see the Three Sisters volcanic peaks.
Our AirBnB in Bend, Oregon was so cute -- the vintage clawfoot tub was a particular hit with Lisa.
